Flood Control Projects
Forbes, Missouri Levee District
During the summer of 2016 the Forbes Levee district installed six new
Cat diesel engines and pump stations. MWI provided the controls and
automation of these engines to help manage the man hours of
operation. These six engines are capable of starting, running and
modulating their speed based on water level. They are using the
Murphy M2000 control panel and Keller Level Rat level sensing devices.
Forest City, Missouri
Detroit diesel converted to automatic control.
In late spring of 2016 the Forest City Drainage district contacted MWI about automating
their diesel engines to reduce the man hours of continually monitoring the speed of the
pumping engines during high water times. This manual Detroit engine was converted to
automatic controls using the Murphy M1000 series panel and depth sensors to allow the
engine to auto start, run, shut down and have speed control, without operator
intervention. Some of the pictures are of their other sites that are pending.
Various pumping stations
Deisel and electric flood control stations accross Missouri help protect
Landowner and Farmer investments in crops and flood control. Remote
monitoring and automatic startup are available with both electric and diesel
options.
